Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Teaching Assistant
Location: Ripon, North Yorkshire
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £83 – £100 per day
Contract Type: Full-Time
GSL Education’s North Yorkshire branch is currently looking to appoint a qualified and compassionate EYFS Teaching Assistant for a Client Primary School located in Ripon, North Yorkshire, for an immediate start.

EYFS Teaching Assistant Role and Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 or small group support to children within Early Years following the EYFS framework.
- Assist in the delivery of play-based learning activities.
- Assist in implementing learning activities according to child’s needs.
- Support the development of communication, social, and sensory skills.
- Establish rapport and trusting relationship and communicate effectively with children and their families and carers.
EYFS Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- A relevant qualification (e.g., Level 2/3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools/EYFS).
- Prior experience working within an Early Years or Nursery setting.
- Strong understanding of the EYFS framework and SEN strategies.
- Passionate about children’s learning and has knowledge and understanding of how pupils learn within the EYFS.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Experience or understanding of behaviours linked to additional needs.
- Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for a new one.
