About the Role
As a Maths ECT, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging lessons that cover various aspects of mathematics, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and supporting students in achieving their full potential.
Key Responsibilities of Maths ECT:
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective lessons in Mathematics.
- Teach a range of subjects to students aged 11-16.
- Develop and implement innovative teaching strategies to cater to the diverse learning needs of students.
- Assess and monitor students’ progress, providing constructive feedback to support their development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to create a cohesive and supportive educational environment.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in mathematics.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and engagement.
- Support students in developing practical skills and theoretical knowledge in mathematics.
Requirements of Maths ECT:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience teaching Mathematics at the secondary school level.
- Strong knowledge of the curriculum and industry standards in mathematics.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to inspire and motivate students.
- Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
