KS3-4 Learning Mentor – Plymouth
Location: Plymouth
Salary: £80 to £90 per day
Working Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm
Start Date: Immediate
GSL Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Learning Mentor to support students in Key Stages 3 and 4 within a vibrant school setting in Plymouth. This is an excellent opportunity to help students achieve their potential and thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students in KS3-4, addressing individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to create effective learning plans.
- Foster a positive and inclusive environment, encouraging student engagement and confidence.
- Support students in overcoming barriers to learning, including academic and personal challenges.
- Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements
- Experience working with secondary school students, particularly in KS3-4.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with students and staff.
- A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle are highly desirable.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting student development.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

- Have a DBS registered to the Update Service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
