Job Title: PSHE Teacher

Salary: £30,000 - £46,535 per annum (Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate start/ Easter start

About the Role:
As a PSHE Teacher, you will take a pivotal role in fostering students’ understanding of personal, social, health and economic issues. Through engaging lessons and thoughtful discussions, you will empower them to navigate life’s challenges and contribute positively to their communities.
Responsibilities of the PSHE Teacher:
- Design and deliver the PSHE curriculum across various key stages, ensuring lessons are inclusive, relevant and impactful.
- Address critical topics such as mental health, relationships, financial literacy, career preparation and global citizenship.
- Foster a safe and respectful learning environment where students feel encouraged to participate and share ideas.
- Develop resources that make the PSHE curriculum engaging and meaningful for all learners.
- Monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their personal and academic development.
- Collaborate with colleagues to integrate PSHE education within the broader school ethos.
- Stay abreast of current educational policies, safeguarding practices and societal developments to enhance teaching delivery.
Requirements of the PSHE Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Demonstrable experience in teaching PSHE, Citizenship, or related disciplines at the secondary level.
- A robust understanding of the national PSHE curriculum and its practical application in schools.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to engage diverse learners.
- Dedication to promoting students' well-being and fostering their holistic development.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
