Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)

About the Role:
As an SEN Teacher, you will design and deliver tailored lessons to meet the individual needs of students with Special Educational Needs. Working closely with support staff and families, you will foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages growth and learning.
Responsibilities of the SEN Teacher:
- Plan, deliver, and assess differentiated lessons that cater to the individual learning needs of students with SEN.
- Develop and implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the SENCO and other stakeholders.
- Use a range of teaching strategies and resources to support students’ academic, social, and emotional development.
- Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to students, parents, and colleagues.
- Foster a nurturing and structured environment that promotes students’ self-esteem and independence.
- Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and support staff to maximise learning opportunities.
- Stay updated on best practices and developments in SEN teaching through professional development and training.
Requirements of the SEN Teacher:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with students with SEN in a school setting.
- Strong knowledge of SEN strategies, including autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to motivate and inspire students with diverse needs.
- Have an updated CV (with two relevant references from the last two years and covering the last ten years barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
