Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

Contract: Full-time / part-time
GSL Education are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Activities Support Instructor to join a vibrant educational setting in Poole. This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy inspiring young people through creative and engaging activities, fostering their personal and social development.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Plan, deliver, and supervise a range of creative, recreational, and educational activities tailored to the needs and interests of students.
- Support students in developing new skills, building confidence, and promoting teamwork and collaboration.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment where students feel valued and motivated.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external activity providers to deliver a high-quality program.
- Monitor and assess the impact of activities, providing feedback to students and colleagues.
- Assist with the setup and organisation of activity spaces, ensuring all equipment is safe and well-maintained.
- Provide one-on-one or small-group support to students requiring additional encouragement or assistance.
- Uphold the school’s safeguarding policies and ensure all activities adhere to health and safety regulations.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Previous experience in organising or delivering activities for children or young people, ideally within an educational or recreational setting.
- Creativity, enthusiasm, and a passion for working with young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students, staff, and parents/guardians.
- Ability to adapt activities to suit a range of abilities and learning styles.
- Knowledge of safeguarding and health & safety principles.
- Patience, resilience, and a positive approach to supporting students’ development.
To work with GSL Education as Activities Support Instructor, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
