Are you a Secondary teacher with exceptional SEN skills ?
We are working with a highly respected setting in Tyne and Wear and require an SEN specialist who can bring a host of skills to this school which caters for MLD, SLD and PMLD pupils . The setting is a fantastic place to work – accommodating a wide range of learners all of whom have barriers to learning . You will be a motivated Practitioner with substantial experience in building rapport and managing young people and Teaching Assistants. You will be a strong and effective but kind practitioner with a genuine desire to help the pupils in your care . You must be committed and ready to take on a long-term role and all appropriate duties.
You will be taking on classes across year 7/8 and 9 working as part of a talented and dedicated teaching team. We expect you to be confident directing support assistants where necessary and capable of driving your class team to exceed expectations. You will be creative and dedicated .
The role is usual school hours 8.30-4.30pm Monday to Friday Term- Time only

Essential Requirements
- UK Recognised Teaching Qualification with any subject specialism
- 12 months classroom experience preferred-with a knowledge, passion or experience of SEN teaching
- The ability to build rapport quickly and effectively
- Resilience and the ability raise outcomes for the students in your care
- A flair for planning interesting and effective lessons
- Willingness to attend twilight CPD and parent’s evenings when required
- Availability for at least the rest of the academic Year
