Role: Teaching Assistant (Cover)
Location: Various Secondary Schools, Southampton
Start Date: ASAP (ongoing requirements)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Supporting teachers in delivering engaging lessons across a range of subjects
- Working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning
- Assisting students with additional needs and ensuring they can access the curriculum
- Helping maintain a positive and productive classroom environment
- Providing feedback on student progress and development
- Supporting students with their social and emotional development
- Adhering to school policies and procedures at all times
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in a secondary school setting
- A strong understanding of the secondary school curriculum
- Ability to work effectively with students of all abilities, including those with special educational needs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and enthusiastic about supporting students’ learning
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive classroom environment
