Role: PE Teacher (Cover)
Location: Various Secondary Schools, Southampton
Start Date: ASAP (ongoing requirements)
Salary: Competitive, based on experience
Key Responsibilities:
- Delivering engaging and motivating PE lessons to Key Stage 3 and 4 students
- Encouraging physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship in students
- Maintaining high standards of behaviour and safety during PE lessons and activities
- Creating inclusive lessons that cater to students with diverse needs and abilities
- Supporting the development of students’ physical, social, and emotional skills
- Adhering to school policies and providing feedback on student progress
The Ideal Candidate:
- A qualified PE Teacher with a recognised teaching qualification (QTS, PGCE, or equivalent)
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for PE
- Experience teaching secondary school students in PE
- Excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- A passion for promoting physical activity and health
- Adaptable, with the ability to work in different school environments and with diverse student groups
- Ability to inspire and motivate students to excel in physical education
