SEN Teacher
Location: Bovington
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (MPS/UPS) (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: April 2025 / Immediate
Contract Type: Full-Time/Permanent

GSL Education are seeking a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher to join schools in Bovington, where your expertise and dedication will help create a supportive and inclusive learning environment for young learners.
As an SEN Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering tailored lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students with SEN. You will work closely with teaching assistants, families, and external professionals to ensure that every student receives the support they need to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. This role requires a strong commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment that encourages independence and growth.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teacher:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons tailored to individual student needs.
- Develop Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and track student progress against set goals.
- Create an engaging and inclusive classroom environment that promotes learning and development.
- Use a variety of teaching methods to support students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Collaborate with teaching assistants, parents, and external professionals to provide holistic support.
- Manage behaviour effectively using positive reinforcement strategies.
- Keep accurate records of student achievements and areas for development.
- Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and contribute to the wider school community.
SEN Teacher Requirements:
- Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification.
- Proven experience working with children with SEN, including autism, ADHD, or learning difficulties as a SEN Teacher.
- A sound understanding of SEN strategies, safeguarding, and child protection practices.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and staff.
- The ability to adapt teaching styles to meet the individual needs of students.
- A passion for improving the educational outcomes of children with SEN.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
