Salary: £80 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)

About the Role:
As an EYFS Learning Support Assistant, your primary focus will be on creating a supportive, stimulating, and inclusive environment for young learners. You will work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging learning experiences, while providing one-on-one support to a child in EYFS who uses a wheelchair and requires personal care and medical assistance.
This is a highly rewarding role that blends general classroom responsibilities with individualized support, allowing you to foster both group learning and personal development.
Responsibilities of an EYFS Learning Support Assistant:
- Provide 1:1 support to a child in EYFS who uses a wheelchair, including personal care and basic medical assistance.
- Assist with daily classroom activities, encouraging active participation and engagement.
- Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and adapt learning materials to meet the diverse needs of children.
- Support the social, emotional, and developmental needs of EYFS children.
- Promote independence, confidence, and social skills in all learners.
- Monitor and document progress, offering feedback to teachers and parents.
- Ensure a safe and stimulating learning environment for all children.
- Participate in school training sessions and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills.
Job Requirements:
- Experience in working with young children, preferably in an EYFS or similar early years setting.
- Previous experience providing personal care and/or medical support is desirable.
- Knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a commitment to fostering early childhood development.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with children, staff, and parents.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- An up-to-date CV with two relevant references (covering the last two years and the past ten years with no unexplained gaps).
- Enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
