Graduates (Teaching Assistants/Cover Supervisors)
Location: Sheffield
Salary: £94 to £115 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP/February 2025
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are offering exciting opportunities for fresh graduates to work as Teaching Assistants or Cover Supervisors in schools across Sheffield.
This is a fantastic chance for graduates who are eager to develop their skills, make a positive impact on young learners, and experience the dynamic world of education. Whether you’re considering a career in teaching or looking to support students’ academic journeys, this role is for you.
What you’ll have to do:
- Assist teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons.
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students to help them meet their learning goals.
- Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, following lesson plans provided.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Support students with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
- Assist with classroom management and maintain a safe and productive environment.
- Help prepare classroom materials and resources as required.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, independence, and a love for learning.
- Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure effective lesson delivery.
- Participate in extracurricular activities or school events where needed.
Requirements that we are looking for:
- A degree in any subject (preferably Education, Psychology, or related fields), recently graduated is a must.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Enthusiasm for working with young people and supporting their development.
- Adaptability to work in different school settings and year groups.
- Previous experience working with children or young people (desirable but not essential).
- A genuine interest in pursuing a career in education or working with students.
