Salary: £80 - £90 per day

GSL Education is currently recruiting for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join an outstanding SEN school in Launceston. This full-time, long-term role offers the potential for a permanent position and is ideal for those passionate about supporting children with special educational needs.

The school provides a highly personalised educational experience for students with complex needs or those at risk of requiring residential placements. Many students have struggled to thrive in local schools or are transitioning back from out-of-county placements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide support as a SEN Teaching Assistant, offering personalised guidance to students.
  • Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and parents to create effective support plans.
  • Foster a nurturing environment that enhances students’ social skills and communication abilities.
  • Assist with daily academic activities and implement behaviour management strategies.
  • Promote positive outcomes through tailored interventions.

Requirements

  • A valid UK Driving Licence and access to a car.
  • Willingness to use your car for business purposes, with the necessary business insurance.
  • Availability to start immediately in a full-time capacity.
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to working with children.
  • Patience, empathy, flexibility, and a commitment to supporting students' success.
