PE Teacher

Location: Newham
Salary: £185 - 2165 per day
Start Date: January 2025
Contract: Long Term

GSL Education London Branch is looking for a PE Teacher to join a vibrant and inclusive coeducational secondary school in Newham. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and motivated Physical Education Teacher to inspire young people and help them achieve their full potential in sports and physical education.

Responsibilities

As a PE Teacher, you will:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality physical education lessons tailored to Key Stages 3 and 4.
  • Inspire and motivate students to participate actively in physical activities and sports.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support their growth.
  • Ensure all lessons promote a safe and inclusive learning environment.
  • Organise and oversee extracurricular activities, including sports clubs and school competitions.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the PE curriculum and support whole-school initiatives.

Requirements

To be successful in this PE Teacher role, you must:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have experience teaching PE in a secondary school setting.
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Be passionate about physical education and committed to student development.
  • Possess a solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection.
  • Hold an enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to apply for one.
