GSL Education is working with an SEN school in Redruth to recruit dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistants for full-time, long-term roles, with potential for permanent positions. This role offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on students with special educational needs.
About the School
The school delivers a tailored educational experience for students with complex needs, including bespoke timetables and one-to-one support. It supports students across Key Stages 1 to 4, particularly those at risk of requiring residential placements or transitioning from out-of-county care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individualised support and mentorship as a SEN Teaching Assistant.
- Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to create tailored support strategies.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive environment to improve students’ social and communication skills.
- Assist students with daily academic tasks and implement interventions to encourage positive behaviours.
Requirements
- UK Driving Licence and Access to a Car (with business insurance).
- Availability for immediate start on a full-time, term-time basis.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to support students and colleagues.
