SEN Learning Support Assistant

About the Role

As an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will:

  • Provide tailored 1:1 and small group support to students with a range of SEN.
  • Work closely with teaching staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Support classroom activities, promoting engagement and confidence.
  • Help to manage and encourage positive behavior, fostering a nurturing atmosphere.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting on student progress to teachers and parents.

Requirements

To excel as an SEN Learning Support Assistant, you should:

  • Have experience working with children, particularly those with SEN.
  • Be patient, empathetic, and able to build strong relationships with students.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Be proactive, adaptable, and enthusiastic about supporting diverse learning needs.
