Job Title: Learning Support Assistant

Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: January 2025
Contract Type: Full-Time/Part-Time

About the Role:
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a key role in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teachers to provide tailored support to students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups, ensuring their academic and personal development. This role is ideal for someone with a genuine passion for education, strong interpersonal skills, and a commitment to nurturing young minds.
Responsibilities:
- Assist teachers in planning and delivering engaging lessons.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who require additional help.
- Help students with their coursework, literacy, and numeracy skills.
- Foster an inclusive learning environment by supporting students with diverse learning needs.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Encourage students to engage actively in their learning journey.
- Support the development of classroom resources and activities.
LSA JOB Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant or similar role is desirable.
- A genuine passion for education and helping students achieve their best.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare or Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
