SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Hook
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Hook, where you can play a vital role in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students, teachers, and the SENCO to ensure that every child receives the tailored support they need. This role offers a fulfilling opportunity to contribute to students' educational and personal growth.
Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEN, adapting teaching methods to meet their needs.
- Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) in collaboration with the classroom teacher.
- Support students in managing their emotional, social, and academic challenges.
- Encourage independence and confidence through tailored support strategies.
- Facilitate classroom activities by adapting materials and providing targeted assistance.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents where necessary.
Experience & Requirements for SEN TA:
- Previous experience working with children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, or equivalent (preferred but not essential).
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with students and staff.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
