SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Fareham
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Fareham. This role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of young learners while growing your career in education.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in assisting students with additional needs, providing tailored support to help them overcome barriers to learning. Your commitment will contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where every child can thrive.
Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group support for students with SEN, such as Autism, ADHD, and other learning difficulties.
- Assist teachers in implementing personalised learning plans for students.
- Encourage student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Support the emotional, social, and academic development of students.
- Monitor progress and communicate effectively with teachers and SENCOs.
- Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere within the classroom.
- Collaborate with staff to adapt resources and strategies for student needs.
- Ensure a safe and welcoming learning environment for all students.
SEN Teaching Assistant Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN as a SEN Teaching Assistant is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, or equivalent.
- A compassionate, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting children.
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills.
- An understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality protocols.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
