SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Winchester
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support students in Winchester. This role is perfect for someone who wants to make a real difference in the lives of young learners by fostering their academic and personal development.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who require additional support, helping them overcome challenges and succeed in the classroom. Your role will involve creating a nurturing environment where every child feels valued and supported.
Responsibilities of an SEN Teaching Assistant:
- Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, and other additional needs.
- Assist teachers in delivering tailored strategies to meet individual student requirements.
- Promote student engagement and participation in classroom activities.
- Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic skills.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and SENCOs.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
- Collaborate with school staff to ensure effective implementation of support plans.
- Assist with classroom resources and organisation as needed.
SEN TA Job Requirements:
- Experience working with children with SEN in an educational setting or as a SEN Teaching Assistant is desirable.
- Relevant qualifications such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, or equivalent.
- A caring and patient approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Understanding of safeguarding and confidentiality.

- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
