Teaching Assistant
Location: Swanwick
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join schools in Swanwick. This flexible role offers the chance to work alongside teachers, providing invaluable support to students, and making a real difference in their educational journey.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will assist in the classroom, supporting students with their learning while fostering a positive and productive atmosphere. You will play a key role in helping students develop essential skills, ensuring they have the tools they need to succeed both academically and personally.
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities:
- Provide support to teachers in delivering engaging lessons and maintaining an organized classroom.
- Assist students in small groups or one-to-one settings to enhance their learning and understanding of subjects.
- Prepare and manage classroom materials and resources for lessons.
- Encourage student participation in class activities and foster their confidence.
- Monitor student progress and communicate insights to teachers.
- Support teachers in managing classroom behaviour and ensuring a positive atmosphere.
- Help students develop key skills such as literacy, numeracy, and critical thinking.
- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of students throughout the school day.
Qualification & Requirements:
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in an educational role is preferred.
- Relevant qualifications, such as CACHE Level 2/3 or NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, are advantageous.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for supporting children’s education and personal development.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in different classroom environments.
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
