Teaching Assistant
Location: Hedge End
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Day-to-Day / Long-Term, Full-Time / Part-Time

GSL Education are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant to join schools in Hedge End. This exciting role offers flexible opportunities, including day-to-day and long-term placements, with both full-time and part-time options available, starting immediately.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will support teachers in delivering effective lessons and assist students in reaching their academic and personal development goals.
TA Responsibilities:
- Provide in-class support to students, ensuring they stay engaged and focused on their learning.
- Assist with one-to-one or small group support to help students overcome challenges.
- Prepare classroom resources and assist with lesson planning.
- Support students in developing reading, writing, and numeracy skills.
- Help manage classroom behaviour and foster a positive learning environment.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers.
- Encourage student participation in class activities and discussions.
- Ensure a safe and inclusive environment for all learners.
Job Requirements needed for a TA:
- Prior experience in an educational setting or as a Teaching Assistant is advantageous.
- A relevant qualification such as CACHE Level 2/3, NVQ Level 2/3 in Childcare, or equivalent is beneficial.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey.
- Adaptability and the ability to engage with students of varying needs and abilities.
To thrive in this role, you should:
- Have the right to work in the UK.
- Have an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last two years.
- Possess a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one through GSL Education.
