About the Role:

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing tailored support to students with special educational needs, including SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health).
  • Assisting in creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborating with teachers and SENCOs to deliver personalised support plans.
  • Encouraging students' confidence, independence, and emotional well-being.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in an SEMH or SEN setting is preferable but not essential.
  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to working with students.
