Job Title: SEMH Teacher
Location: Winton
Salary: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum (Depending on experience)
Contract: Full-time / part-time
Start: January / April
Are you passionate about supporting students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs? If so, GSL Education are looking for a SEMH Teacher in Winton.
As a Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) Teacher in Winton, you will play a crucial role in helping students overcome barriers to learning, enabling them to achieve their full potential in a nurturing and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver tailored lessons that address the individual needs of students with SEMH.
- Use creative and engaging teaching methods to foster student participation and development.
- Develop and implement strategies to manage challenging behaviour effectively.
- Collaborate with support staff, parents, and external agencies to provide holistic support.
- Contribute to the creation and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) for students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, adapting teaching approaches as needed.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), PGCE, or equivalent certification.
- Experience working with students with SEMH needs in an educational setting.
- Strong knowledge of behaviour management strategies and therapeutic approaches.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A positive and resilient attitude, with a commitment to supporting every student.
- Have an enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be happy to apply for one with GSL Education.
