Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour (Depending on experience)

About the role:
A Mental Health Support Worker helps individuals struggling with mental health issues by offering support and guidance in their daily lives.
Essential Qualities That We Are Looking For:
- Provide personalised support to students with complex mental health, anxiety, and behaviour needs, making sure their Education, Health, and Care Plans (EHCPs) are followed.
- Collaborate with teachers to create an engaging curriculum that addresses mental health and behavioural challenges, including outdoor activities.
- Foster a caring learning environment that supports students’ social, emotional, and mental well-being, focusing on anxiety and behaviour issues.
- Administer medications according to school policies and safety guidelines.
- Provide personal care, such as help with hygiene and bathing, while always respecting the students’ dignity.
- Encourage students to become more independent in their daily activities.
- Assist students in fully participating in classroom activities by using effective communication techniques as guided by the teacher.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- A good understanding of the different needs related to mental health, anxiety, and behaviour.
- The ability to adjust teaching methods to fit the unique needs of each student, especially those dealing with mental health issues.
- A patient and caring attitude when handling challenging behaviour.
- A proactive and open mindset while working as part of a team with different professionals.
