SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Christchurch
Salary: £12.82 - £14.72 Per Hour (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Full-time / Part-time

About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in their academic, emotional, and social development. Working closely with teachers, you’ll provide personalised assistance to ensure students thrive in an inclusive, positive environment. This rewarding role allows you to make a meaningful difference every day.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-to-one or small group support for students with SEN.
- Assist in creating and adapting lesson plans to meet individual learning needs.
- Support pupils with communication, behaviour, and social skills.
- Monitor and report on student progress to teachers and parents.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Requirements
- A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN.
- Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or the willingness to apply for one.
