About the Role
As an Exam Invigilator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that exams are conducted in accordance with the school's regulations and procedures. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a fair and supportive examination environment.
Key Responsibilities of Exam Invigilator:
- Supervise Exams: Oversee the examination room to ensure a calm and orderly environment.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure that all exam protocols are followed, including the correct distribution and collection of exam papers.
- Assist Students: Provide clear instructions to students before, during, and after the exam, and then attend with any queries.
- Monitor Conduct: Vigilantly monitor students to prevent any form of malpractice or cheating.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of attendance and any incidents that occur during the exam.
- Support Staff: Work closely with other invigilators and school staff to ensure the smooth running of the examination process.
Requirements of Exam Invigilator:
- Attention to Detail: Strong observational skills to ensure compliance with exam regulations.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to provide clear instructions and support to students.
- Reliability: Punctual and reliable, with a commitment to maintaining the integrity of the examination process.
- Experience: Prior experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings and afternoons, during the exam period.
To work with GSL Education as an Exam Invigilator, you will need:
- Right to Work: Have the right to work in the UK.
- References: Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
- DBS Check: Have an enhanced DBS registered to the Updated Service or be willing to apply for one with GSL Education.
