About the Role
As an English Teacher, you will have the opportunity to teach students across various year groups, helping them build their reading, writing, and analytical skills. You will play a key role in creating an engaging and inclusive learning environment where students can thrive and develop a deep appreciation for English.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and delivering engaging, challenging, and well-structured English lessons.
- Assessing and tracking students' progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their full potential.
- Encouraging a love for literature and language, and inspiring students to engage with both classic and contemporary texts.
- Supporting students in developing their writing, communication, and critical thinking skills.
- Contributing to the broader school community and extracurricular activities, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom culture.
What We’re Looking For
We are looking for a dedicated and passionate English Teacher who:
- Holds a recognised teaching qualification (QTS or equivalent).
- Has a strong understanding of the English curriculum at secondary level.
- Is passionate about inspiring students and helping them achieve excellence in both language and literature.
- Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and motivate students.
- Has the ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and create an inclusive classroom environment.
