About the Role
As a Teaching Assistant, you will be a key part of the school’s support network, assisting both teachers and students to ensure that every lesson runs smoothly. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with an NVQ Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning, or equivalent, who is eager to make a difference in the lives of secondary school students.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting individual students or small groups with their learning, helping them to access the curriculum.
- Assisting in the preparation and delivery of lessons, providing targeted support for students with additional learning needs.
- Helping to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment, ensuring that students feel supported and engaged.
- Working closely with teaching staff to monitor student progress and adapt support strategies as needed.
What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Supporting Teaching and Learning or relevant experience in a school setting.
- A genuine passion for working with young people and a commitment to supporting their development.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
- An understanding of classroom management and a proactive approach to supporting students in their learning journey.
