Mental Health Support Worker 
Location: Southbourne 
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time 
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience) 
Start Date: January 2025

This role is ideal for someone who is committed to promoting positive mental health and emotional well-being in young people. Whether you are seeking full-time or part-time hours, this position offers flexibility and the chance to make a real difference in students’ lives. 

Responsibilities of a Mental Health Support Worker: 

  • Provide one-to-one and group support to students with mental health and emotional needs. 

  • Assist in creating a safe and supportive environment for students to express themselves. 

  • Work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to monitor and support students' well-being. 

  • Implement strategies to promote positive mental health and well-being in students. 

  • Support students in overcoming challenges that may affect their learning and behaviour. 

Requirements of a Mental Health Support Worker: 

  • Experience working with young people, ideally in a mental health or support role. 

  • A genuine passion for supporting students with mental health needs. 

  • Ability to build strong relationships with students and staff. 

  • Strong communication skills and a caring, empathetic approach. 

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
