Job Summary of Learning Support Assistant-LSA:

As a Learning Support Assistant, you'll provide essential support to individual students with specific learning needs. Your role involves working closely with teachers and other professionals to carry out a tailored learning plan for each student.

Job Responsibilities for Learning Support Assistant-LSA:

  • Offer one-to-one or small group support to students with learning needs.
  • Help put individualized education plans into action.
  • Work alongside teachers, Special Education Coordinators, and other professionals to support the student.
  • Build a positive, supportive relationship with the student to enhance their learning experience.
  • Track and report on the student’s progress to teachers and parents.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.

Qualifications as a Learning Support Assistant-LSA:

  • Good communication and people skills.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
  • Proactive attitude and ability to work well with the teaching team.
  • Previous experience in a similar role is helpful but not necessary.
  • A passion for helping young people learn and grow.
