Mental Health Teaching Assistant  
Location: Blandford 
Job Type: Full-time/Part-time 
Salary: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience) 
Start Date: January 2025 

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Mental Health Teaching Assistant to join an exceptional school in Blandford. In this role, you will work closely with students who face mental health challenges, helping them to develop coping strategies, build resilience, and engage fully with their education. Responsibilities: 

As a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you will: 

  • Providing one-to-one and small-group support for students experiencing mental health challenges. 

  • Implementing tailored strategies to promote well-being and resilience. 

  • Supporting classroom activities to enhance learning and engagement. 

  • Acting as a trusted point of contact for students in need of emotional support. 

 

Requirements: 

To excel as a Mental Health Teaching Assistant, you should have: 

  • Experience working with children or young people with mental health needs (in education, healthcare, or similar settings). 

  • A genuine passion for supporting students' mental well-being. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
