Teaching Assistant (Primary)
Location: Colchester
Salary: £83 - £95 a day
Start Date: Immediately
Contract Type: Full-time
GSL Education are looking for a Teaching Assistant (Primary) to join a thriving primary school in Colchester. If you're dedicated, patient, and eager to support young learners in their journey, this could be the perfect role for you!
As a Teaching Assistant (Primary), you will work alongside teachers to help create a positive and engaging learning environment. You will have the opportunity to support children both in and out of the classroom, ensuring they reach their full potential.
Responsibilities of the Teaching Assistant (Primary):
- Support the class teacher in delivering engaging lessons.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to provide additional help.
- Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Assist with classroom organisation and preparation of resources.
- Monitor pupil progress and provide feedback to teachers.
- Support pupils with special educational needs and adapt resources as required.
- Supervise children during break times and lunchtime when needed.
Requirements for the Teaching Assistant (Primary):
- Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
- A caring, patient, and understanding attitude.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- A commitment to supporting children's learning and development.
- A strong knowledge of safeguarding and child protection.
- An enhanced DBS on the update service or a willingness to apply for one.
