GSL Education Chelmsford are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to join a secondary school in Colchester that is dedicated to providing high-quality learning experiences for every student!
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will be responsible to plan and lead intervention sessions for small groups of students (literacy, numeracy, EAL, and other interventions) and assist with the development and review of IEPs.
Responsibilities of Learning Support Assistant:
- Plan and lead intervention sessions in literacy, numeracy, and EAL for small groups.
- Assist with the development and review of Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Provide one-to-one and group support in classrooms as needed.
- Help students engage with the curriculum and stay on track with their learning.
- Work collaboratively with teachers to support student development.
Job Requirements of Learning Support Assistant:
- Previous experience as a Learning Support Assistant in interventions or similar role.
- Strong understanding of how to support students in literacy, numeracy, and EAL.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work with teachers to enhance student outcomes.
