Job Title: Fully Qualified Science Teacher
Location: Sutton
Salary Range: £150 - £200 per day (Depending on experience)

Are you a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher looking for a rewarding role in an SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health) school?

If so, GSL Education are seeking a Fully Qualified Science Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive school in Sutton, starting in January 2025. This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of £150-£200 per day.

As a Fully Qualified Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality lessons across the Science curriculum, tailored to meet the needs of all students, including those with varying abilities and additional needs. You are expected to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, manage classroom behaviour effectively, and assess student progress to ensure academic growth and development.

Responsibilities of the Science Teacher:

  • Deliver high-quality science lessons to students with SEMH needs, ensuring that each student is supported in their learning journey.
  • Plan and adapt lessons to meet the individual needs of students with a range of abilities and challenges.
  • Develop and implement strategies to manage student behaviour effectively, fostering a positive and respectful learning environment.
  • Support students both academically and emotionally, helping them engage with the curriculum and build confidence.
  • Work closely with the SENCO, other teachers, and support staff to deliver tailored education plans.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to students and parents when required.

Requirements of the Science Teacher:

  • Fully qualified Science Teacher with QTS (or equivalent).
  • Experience teaching Science at KS3 and KS4 level.
  • Experience working with students with SEMH, or other additional needs is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills and the ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to
  • Have an updated CV and an enhanced DBS registered to the update service (or be willing to apply for one).
