SEN HLTA 
Location: Grantham 
Start Date: January 2025 
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)  

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a committed SEN HLTA to join a school in Grantham. In this rewarding role, you will collaborate with the SEN team to provide personalized support to students with diverse learning needs, helping them thrive and achieve their full potential in the classroom. Responsibilities: 

As an SEN HLTA, you will: 

  • Provide high-level support to students with SEN in both group and one-on-one settings. 

  • Assist in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons in collaboration with the class teacher. 

  • Support the development and implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs). 

  • Lead small groups or individual interventions, focusing on students' specific learning needs. 

  • Promote an inclusive and nurturing environment, encouraging student engagement and confidence. 

  • Help monitor student progress and provide feedback to both teachers and parents. 

  • Support students' social and emotional development, fostering a positive learning atmosphere. 

 

Requirements: 

To be successful in this SEN HLTA role, you will need: 

  • A relevant Level 4 qualification or equivalent in Supporting Teaching and Learning. 

  • Experience working with students with SEN (preferably in a HLTA role). 

  • A strong understanding of SEN strategies and how to differentiate learning. 

  • Excellent communication and organisational skills. 

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to apply for one.
