Healthcare Assistant 
Location: Grantham 
Start Date: January 2025 
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)  

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Healthcare Assistant to join a school in Grantham. In this role, you will provide essential care and support to students, ensuring they have the assistancethey need to thrive in a safe and inclusive environment. Responsibilities: 

As a Healthcare Assistant, you will: 

  • Provide personal care support to students with medical and healthcare needs. 

  • Assist with the administration of medication and medical treatments as required. 

  • Support students in maintaining their independence while ensuring their health and safety. 

  • Work closely with teachers and support staff to ensure students are fully supported throughout their school day. 

  • Monitor and report on students' physical and emotional well-being. 

  • Promote a positive and inclusive atmosphere, helping students feel confident and cared for. 

 

Requirements: 

To succeed as a Healthcare Assistant, you will need: 

  • A strong understanding of healthcare support, including personal care needs (desirable). 

  • Previous experience working with students or individuals with medical needs (desirable). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • A compassionate and patient approach to supporting students. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
