Autism Specialist
Location: Grantham
Start Date: January 2025
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Autism Specialist to join a school in Grantham. In this role, you will work closely with students on the autism spectrum, providing tailored support to help them navigate their learning and social development. Responsibilities:
As an Autism Specialist, you will:

Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with autism.

Develop and implement individualised strategies to support students' academic and social progress.

Work closely with teachers to adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with autism.

Promote an inclusive classroom environment, encouraging positive behaviour and social skills.

Monitor and report on student progress, offering feedback to improve their learning experience.

Assist in the development and delivery of personalised education plans (IEPs).
Requirements:
To succeed as an Autism Specialist, you will need:

A strong understanding of autism spectrum disorder and the challenges students face.

Experience working with children with autism (desirable).

Patience, flexibility, and a compassionate approach.

Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with staff, students, and parents.

A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
