SEN Teaching Assistant 
Location: Grantham 
Start Date: January 2025 
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)  

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

Responsibilities: 

As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will: 

  • Support children with special educational needs in their learning and personal development. 

  • Work closely with the class teacher and SENCo to implement tailored support plans. 

  • Assist in creating an inclusive and engaging classroom environment. 

  • Provide one-on-one or small group support to students with a variety of needs. 

  • Monitor and report on student progress and behaviour to support individual learning goals. 

  • Promote positive behaviour and a safe learning space for all students. 

Requirements: 

To succeed in this SEN Teaching Assistant role, you should have: 

  • A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN. 

  • Previous experience working with children with additional needs (desirable but not essential). 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • A patient, nurturing, and flexible approach to working with children. 

  • The ability to work effectively as part of a team. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or the willingness to apply for one.
