Learning Support Assistant 
Location: Grantham 
Start Date: January 2025 
Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)  

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a committed Learning Support Assistant to join a dynamic school in Grantham. This rewarding opportunity will see you play a key role in enhancing students' learning experiences, boosting their confidence, and supporting them in overcoming any obstacles to their education. 

Responsibilities: 

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will: 

  • Provide one-on-one or group support to students with additional learning needs. 

  • Assist teachers in implementing differentiated lesson plans and activities. 

  • Promote an inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued. 

  • Help students develop key skills, including social, emotional, and academic skills. 

  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to ensure their development. 

  • Foster a supportive, encouraging, and nurturing environment that helps students thrive. 

 

Requirements: 

To succeed as a Learning Support Assistant, you will need: 

  • A genuine passion for working with children and young people. 

  • Experience supporting students with additional learning needs (desirable). 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
