Behaviour Support Assistant  

Location: Grantham  

Salary: £83.33 - £95.00 per day (Depending on experience)  

Start date: January 2025  

Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are looking for a dedicated Behaviour Support Assistant to join a supportive school in Grantham. Responsibilities: 

As a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will: 

  • Work closely with students to support their behavioural, emotional, and academic needs. 

  • Assist teachers in implementing behaviour management strategies within the classroom. 

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students who require additional guidance. 

  • Promote positive behaviour and help students develop coping skills and self-regulation. 

  • Collaborate with teaching staff, SENCO, and parents to monitor and report on student progress. 

  • Create a nurturing and inclusive environment that encourages student growth and confidence. 

Requirements: 

To excel as a Behaviour Support Assistant, you will need: 

  • Experience working with children or young people with behavioural challenges (desirable). 

  • A calm, patient, and resilient approach to managing complex behaviours. 

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills. 

  • The ability to build trusting relationships with students and staff. 

  • A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.
