Are you passionate about working with children with special educational needs? GSL Education is hiring a SEND Teaching Assistant to join a supportive team in a special school in Kingston.
About the Role:
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting students with SEND, such as SEMH and MLD, to overcome barriers to learning.
- Providing tailored one-on-one and group support in the classroom.
- Collaborating with teachers to adapt lessons to meet individual needs.
- Encouraging students' confidence, independence, and overall well-being.
Requirements:
- Prior experience in an SEN environment is beneficial but not essential.
- A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection is vital.
- Excellent teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and empathetic approach to supporting students.
