Location: Dibden Perlieu
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work at an outstanding school in Dibden Perlieu. About the Role
As a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will provide vital support to students with SEN, helping them navigate their learning journey. You will work closely with classroom teachers to ensure each pupil’s needs are met, offering individual and group support as needed. Your role will involve helping students engage with their lessons, offering support in areas such as communication, behaviour, and social skills. You will help create a positive, inclusive environment in which students feel safe and encouraged to thrive. By working with small groups or one-to-one, you will ensure each student gets the attention and support they need to succeed.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Provide individual or small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with adapting lessons and learning materials to suit individual needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Track progress and report on pupils’ achievements to teachers and other staff.
Criteria for a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- A passion for working with children with SEN.
- Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
