Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to work at an outstanding school in Swanwick. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone eager to make a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and contribute to their success in the classroom.
About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) by working closely with teachers to meet their individual needs. You will assist with lessons, focusing on areas such as communication, behaviour, and social skills. By creating a positive and inclusive environment, you’ll help students engage and thrive, ensuring they receive the attention and support necessary for their success.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual or small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist with adapting lessons and learning materials to suit individual needs.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support students with their social, emotional, and behavioural development.
- Track progress and report on pupils’ achievements to teachers and other staff.
Requirements
- A passion for working with children with SEN.
- Experience in a similar role is beneficial but not essential.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Patience, flexibility, and a proactive approach.
- A valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
