Key Responsibilities as a Maths Teacher:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths lessons across KS3 and KS4, effectively differentiating for students of varying abilities.
- Prepare students for GCSE exams, ensuring all learners make excellent progress in the subject.
- Create a stimulating and supportive learning environment that fosters curiosity and enthusiasm for Maths.
- Assess and monitor student progress regularly, providing constructive feedback and support to help them excel.
- Manage classroom behaviour effectively to ensure a productive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the teaching and learning of Maths across the department.
The Successful Maths Teacher Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualifications.
- Have excellent subject knowledge and the ability to teach Maths up to GCSE level.
- Be passionate about teaching and inspiring students to reach their full potential.
- Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to differentiate lessons effectively.
- Be organised, adaptable, and committed to delivering high-quality education.
- Possess a valid Enhanced DBS registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
