Disability Support Worker 
Location: Poole 
Contract Type: Part/Full Time 
Rates: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour(Depending on experience) 
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join a supportive school in Poole. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering students with disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence, and a positive outlook on their learning journey. Responsibilities: 

As a Disability Support Worker, you will: 

  • Provide tailored support to students with disabilities, fostering their independence and confidence. 

  • Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and activities. 

  • Support students in overcoming challenges, both academically and socially. 

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment. 

  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and families to ensure consistent support. 

  • Promote the physical and emotional well-being of students at all times. 

 

Requirements: 

As a Disability Support Worker, you should have: 

  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or additional needs (preferred). 

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting children and young people. 

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team. 

  • A proactive attitude and the ability to manage challenges effectively. 

  • A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
