Location: Poole
Contract Type: Part/Full Time
Rates: £12.82 - £14.72 per hour(Depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate

GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join a supportive school in Poole. In this role, you will play a vital part in empowering students with disabilities, helping them build confidence, independence, and a positive outlook on their learning journey. Responsibilities:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will:

Provide tailored support to students with disabilities, fostering their independence and confidence.

Assist in the implementation of personalised learning plans and activities.

Support students in overcoming challenges, both academically and socially.

Create a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, SEN staff, and families to ensure consistent support.

Promote the physical and emotional well-being of students at all times.
Requirements:
As a Disability Support Worker, you should have:

Experience working with individuals with disabilities or additional needs (preferred).

A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to supporting children and young people.

Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.

A proactive attitude and the ability to manage challenges effectively.

A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
