Behaviour Teaching Assistant

Location: Boscombe

Start Date: Immediate

Contract: Full-time / Part-time

Salary Scale: £76.92 - £95.68 per day (Depending on experience)

The role as a Behaviour Teaching Assistant involves assisting students with behavioural challenges, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment. You will work closely with teaching staff to implement tailored strategies and promote pupil engagement.

Responsibilities of a Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

  • Support students with behavioural difficulties in both one-to-one and group settings.
  • Implement behaviour management techniques and positive reinforcement strategies.
  • Assist the teacher in planning and delivering lessons tailored to the needs of individual pupils.
  • Foster a safe, encouraging classroom atmosphere that supports learning.
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour to staff and parents/carers as needed.

Required Qualifications for a Behaviour Teaching Assistant:

  • Previous experience working with children with behavioural challenges is essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, resilience, and a proactive approach to addressing individual needs.
  • A solid understanding of safeguarding and child protection principles.
  • An enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one.
