Supply Teacher
Location: Portsmouth
Salary: £110 - £130 per day. (Depending on experience)
Contract: Permanent / Full-Time
Start Date: Immediate / January 2025

GSL Education are seeking a reliable and motivated Supply Teacher to provide cover across a range of subjects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced teacher to contribute to a dynamic school community while ensuring continuity of education for students.
About the Role:
As a Supply Teacher, you will step into the classroom and maintain a high standard of education in the absence of regular teaching staff. You will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring that students stay engaged and on task. This is an ideal role for someone who thrives in a flexible environment and enjoys variety in their daily teaching.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons in the absence of the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
- Adapt and support students with different learning needs.
- Report on student progress and behaviour to the relevant staff.
- Ensure continuity and consistency in the students' learning experience.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- Experience working as a Supply Teacher or in a similar role is preferred.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage students.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
