SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

About the Role
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with students who require additional support in their learning journey. From one-to-one assistance to group sessions, you’ll foster an inclusive and inspiring learning environment where every student feels valued and motivated to succeed.
This role offers flexibility, catering to your availability with day-to-day, long-term, part-time, or full-time options. Whether you’re an experienced teaching assistant or looking to start your career in education, this is your chance to make a real impact.
Responsibilities
- Provide tailored support to students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
- Assist teachers in creating and delivering engaging lesson plans.
- Encourage positive behaviour and foster a sense of inclusion within the classroom.
- Monitor and record student progress, adapting strategies as needed.
- Support the emotional well-being and personal development of students.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential.
- A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their growth.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and techniques is an advantage.
- Hold a valid Enhanced DBS certificate registered on the update service, or be willing to apply for one.
