Location: Winchester
Salary: £12.82 to £14.72 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (TA) to join an outstanding school in Winchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of students while working in a nurturing and inspiring environment.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant (TA), you will work closely with teachers, support staff, and students to ensure every child feels valued and achieves their potential. Your role will involve helping to create an inclusive classroom, assisting with tailored learning strategies, and fostering a supportive atmosphere for all learners.
Responsibilities of a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA):
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN.
- Assist in planning and delivering personalised learning activities.
- Encourage students to develop social and emotional skills in a safe setting.
- Collaborate with teachers and external professionals to implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs).
- Promote an inclusive environment where every student feels valued.
- Monitor and report on students’ progress to teachers and parents.
Requirements for a SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)
- Previous experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is highly desirable.
- A patient, empathetic, and positive approach to working with children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to the individual needs of students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and child protection.
